Black, Gold, and Greenery Bring A Once-Drab Liberty Village Space to Life

Spaces by Jacflash brought life to this once cold, cluttered and cramped condo. We chose a modern looking sofa with an extra-deep seat and crisp tailoring, which has a strong presence but feels airy and light thanks to the thin frame and cast metal legs. We paired this sofa with a rope-like ottoman for a spontaneous seating option, while a glamorous brass pedestal marble top coffee table and a brass and black velvet side chair bring sophistication into the space. To tie everything together and create warmth in the space, we added black velvet curtains and an alluring but cozy loom area rug. We re-merchandized her existing wall shelves by layering differing sized frames, and a touch of greenery. The high-gloss media credenza's geometric doors adds an eye-popping interest to the space.

In the dining area, the client wanted to keep her existing dining table, so we paired it with glamorous acrylic chairs and a refined shiny brass bell pendant. A black cowhide rug sits below the dining set to add warmth to the area and we moved her existing mirror to the side wall to open up the space.

We created a small seating nook by bringing over one of the acrylic dining chairs and pairing it with a gold framed piece of artwork, a luxurious, black pull up side table, a succulent and eucalyptus stem to add height.

The client wanted to keep her original desk in this office and loved the idea of a black feature wall. To create a more refined and finished look, we custom built a geometric wall to add depth and character to this once-confined space. We swapped out her old desk chair for a striking black, velvet high back chair, and adorned the blank wall with 3 layered matte black floating shelves to display her office items, awards, books and plants.

We added endless plants and flowers to bring life to the entire space, and for a finishing touch, we swapped out the old, dated, cookie-cutter door hardware for some sleek, modern, matte black handles.
