Spaces by Jacflash revamped a once dark, dated and empty condo into a modernly chic and functional living space.
A dark, midcentury credenza once sat against the wall beside the sombre kitchen. To brighten things up, we swapped a lighter, white oak and metallic credenza that was previously placed in the living area. We paired this metallic credenza with a round and radiant antiqued golden mirror, which added a contemporary flare to the kitchen and opened up the space to appear lighter.
The dining room had a long, characterless white wall, so we installed a faux brick wallpaper to give the dining and kitchen area some industrial charm. To add drama to the wall, we installed 4 acrylic accent shelves to display glassware, photos, cocktail books and some greenery. This installation brings an organic touch and colour to the space.
Previously, the dining area was not being used and instead left a dark, empty space in the apartment. We added a white dining table and matching bench, 4 wishbone chairs and swapped out a dated track light with a modern, multi-light chandelier. The brighter furniture and lighting, organic elements and industrial design transformed this dead space into a comfortable, contemporary part of the home.
The living area went from feeling sombre to luminous with the use of appropriate textures, shapes, and design features. We were working on a budget as our client opted to keep their existing sofa, coffee table and media unit. We swapped out the rug, side chair and side tables and added lighting to unify the room as a serenely stylish space.
